Ready to take control
of your next project?

Book your inspection today. Your $195 fee is credited back when you select a contractor. No risk. No obligation.

Five Steps. Zero Guesswork.

From inquiry to install, every step is designed to eliminate surprises and put you in control.

01

Book and Pay Your $195 Inspection Fee

Submit your project online and pay a $195 inspection fee. This single step filters out tire-kickers and ensures every homeowner on our platform is serious about moving forward. Your inspection fee is fully credited back to you when you select a contractor.

Why the deposit? Contractors on our platform only see verified, committed homeowners. This is what makes our bids faster, more competitive, and more serious than anything on Yelp or Thumbtack.
02

Your Certified Scoper Visits the Home

A licensed Project Scopers field agent visits your property, typically within 48 hours of booking. Our agents hold active CSLB credentials and verified expertise in their trade. They measure, photograph, document access conditions, identify permit requirements, and check your rebate eligibility.

No sales pitch. No upsell. Our Scopers are paid to assess, not to sell. This is what makes the information they collect trustworthy for both you and the contractors who will bid.
03

Your Scope Report is Published

Within 24 hours of the visit, a certified Scope Report is uploaded to the platform. This professional document includes photographs, measurements, equipment specifications, access notes, permit requirements, and rebate eligibility findings. You receive a copy. Contractors see it before they bid.

This report is yours to keep. It is useful for insurance claims, home resale disclosure, future projects, and comparison shopping long after the project is complete.
04

Vetted Contractors Submit Bids

Subscribed contractors in your area review your Scope Report and submit bids. Every bid is scored across four dimensions: price, earliest available install date, equipment tier, and warranty terms. You see the full picture, not just a number scribbled on a notepad.

Contractors can also pass on jobs they do not want or resell project slots to peer contractors. This keeps quality high and eliminates the desperation bidding that plagues other platforms.
05

You Choose. We Handle the Rest.

Review the bids, compare on your terms, and select the contractor that fits your needs. Your $195 inspection fee is credited directly to the winning contractor's invoice. Project Scopers collects a success fee from the contractor. You pay nothing to us beyond your initial deposit.

If no bid meets your needs, you are never obligated to proceed. We will re-scope or re-list your project at no additional charge.
🛡️

The Project Scopers Guarantee

If you book a scope and no contractor submits a bid that meets the documented scope, we will refund your $195 inspection fee in full. No questions asked.

You Deserve Transparency.
Not a Sales Pitch.

Stop spending your Saturday afternoons hosting salespeople who pressure you into decisions. Project Scopers puts you back in control.

Sound familiar?

Every homeowner in the Bay Area has lived through at least one of these.

🗓️

Three Appointments. Zero Time.

You take a half day off work to meet three different contractors who each spend 90 minutes pitching you instead of listening to your actual needs.

📋

Bids You Cannot Compare

One includes permit fees. One does not. One specifies equipment. Another just says "system replacement." You are comparing apples to engines.

💬

Pressure You Did Not Sign Up For

"This offer is only good today." "I can have a crew here tomorrow if you sign now." You came for information. You got a hostage negotiation.

💰

Rebates Left on the Table

Most Bay Area homeowners qualify for thousands in BayREN, PG&E, and IRA rebates. Most never find out because no one told them.

🎲

Guessing on Quality

Is the low bid low because they are efficient or because they cut corners? Without a standardized scope, you have no way to know.

📞

Radio Silence After

You called three companies. Two never called back. The one who did sent someone who barely looked at your attic before quoting $18,000.

One visit. Real information. Real competition.

Here is what happens when a certified Scoper visits your home instead of a salesperson.

📏

Full Measurement and Documentation

Every room, every access point, every system component is photographed and measured. Nothing is estimated or guessed.

📄

Certified Scope Report

You receive a professional document you own forever. It is useful for bids, insurance, home sales, and future reference.

💵

Rebate Eligibility Review

Your Scoper identifies every applicable incentive before contractors bid so those savings are built into the final price, not discovered accidentally.

🏆

Contractors Compete for You

Three to five vetted contractors bid on your documented project. You compare on an equal footing. You choose on your terms and your timeline.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens to my $195 if I do not like any of the bids?
If no contractor submits a bid that meets your documented scope, we will refund your $195 inspection fee in full. If bids come in but none fit your needs, we will re-list your project at no additional charge.
How is Project Scopers different from Yelp or Thumbtack?
Yelp and Thumbtack sell your contact information to contractors who then send salespeople to your home. Project Scopers sends a licensed, neutral assessor first. Contractors bid on a certified, documented project, not on a phone number. You never deal with a salesperson.
How quickly can I get a Scoper to my home?
In most Bay Area zip codes, we schedule Scoper visits within 24 to 48 hours of booking. Urgent situations such as equipment failures or home sale timelines receive priority scheduling at no extra charge.
Are the contractors on your platform licensed and insured?
Every contractor on the Project Scopers platform has been verified for an active CSLB license and current general liability insurance before they are approved to bid. We re-verify credentials annually.
What does the contractor success fee cover?
The 3 to 8 percent success fee covers the cost of the Scoper visit, the Scope Report, platform operations, and ongoing contractor vetting. The percentage varies by project size with larger projects receiving a lower percentage rate.
Can a contractor see who else is bidding?
No. Contractors submit blind bids. They see the Scope Report but not other contractors' bids. This ensures every bid is genuinely competitive and not influenced by knowing the competition.

Born in a Crawlspace.
Built for the Bay Area.

Project Scopers started with one missed commission and one very clear idea about how the home improvement industry could work better.

Every great business starts by solving a real problem.

Our founder spent years as a comfort advisor across some of the Bay Area's top HVAC companies, including Service Champions, Bell Bros., Trio Heating and Air, A-1 Heating and Cooling, and IRBIS. Six days a week. Crawlspaces and attics in the morning. Attics and crawlspaces in the afternoon. Three or four homes a day, sometimes without a single sale.

"I did all the work. I earned the client's trust. Then I lost the job because we could not install until June 15th and she needed it done the next day."

That moment crystallized something the industry already knew but nobody had fixed. The problem was not the product. It was not the price. It was the entire process. A homeowner needed a job scoped by someone she could trust, and then she needed qualified contractors to compete for it based on real information, not a sales visit.

The referral fee from that job never came. But the idea did. Project Scopers was built to fix the broken process from the ground up, starting with the people who understand trades work better than anyone: the comfort advisors, the field experts, the licensed professionals who spend their days inside the walls and ceilings of Bay Area homes.

🎯

Precision First

Every Scope Report is documented to professional standards. Contractors bid on facts, not assumptions.

🤝

No Sales. Ever.

Our Scopers are trained assessors, not salespeople. Their only job is accurate documentation.

What SEER2 Actually Means and Why Your Contractor Probably Did Not Explain It
